Greeting, we are now in the third month and time has gone by fast in the world of the McEachern. This was an actually very productive break. I'm not going to lie, the first two weeks of this break was spent not editing Edict. In fact, I took the time to work on another novel. I don't want to call it an upcoming novel because I've no idea what to do with it. It's basically my take on fantasy romance, containing the fluff I like/want. I've wanted to write a fantasy romance for a long time. My first NaNoWriMo novel was an attempt, that I failed. However, cozy fantasy seems more doable than the typical fantasy romance you read around. I'm actually enjoying it greatly.
What I want to do with it, I don't know. I really don't want to make another website. I mean, I could just rename this site to L.J. McEachern Works. I don't want to do that. Maybe something to consider in the future. I've two options, I either choose to post on Vella or I post it on Slack. I really don't want Vella because that puts me under the heels of Amazon. Not to mention, Vella has some technical issues that need improving on. It's an Amazon product, they put minimal investment, causing the thing to fail. It may be another Writeon. I don't know. I'm likely not going to choose Vella. It's still a writing platform.
Slack interests me, but I feel I require an audience already for Slack. I did think very briefly about Inkitt. But oh my word, there is so much wolfie fics on there. Like, if I was back in my early twenties again, that place would be home. This all really doesn't matter if I don't finish it. I've a projected date of this year.
So no Eroden? I'll try to finish it this year. However, I need weeks of not editing because it does take up a lot of my attention. Speaking of editing. Edict's is going well. There are probably a lot more changes in pt 5 than any of the other ones. Starting with one out of the gate. The upcoming chapter has been split in half from the original. There has been a scene removed, switch a character involved in a scene with another, added a conversation that needed to exist, removed some redundancy, and added in a scene I felt I needed to add in to drive a certain point home. So a lot of work there.
As for planned breaks? No, I'm planning to go to the end unless something comes up. Am I jumping into Changes revisions? No, there will be another break. How long, I don't know. I really don't know what am I changing with The Monk and the Princess. It's perfect all ready storywise.(joking) The other follow-up stories I've a better idea. Then it's onto a novel I inserted. I don't know what to re-title Kiao's novel yet. But When it's Dark, will have a new titled and actually on March 1, it will be removed from RR. And I'm mostly doing it because I don't think it's good. It was written post as I go and it needs work because of it. When I get Changes completed, that will be next in line. Arg, so much work.
Also, I've been working on the website a little. Trying to make things nicer. With updates to some things. So yeah, productive month.
